Post holes around Melton and Sunbury

Augered post holes for fence lines, decks, pergolas and verandahs, around Melton, Sunbury and Melbourne's west in Victoria, Australia. Holes get set out on your line and drilled straight to depth, and the spoil gets cleaned up. We bring the operator with the machine, so it isn't dry hire.

  • Drilled on your string line, at your spacing.
  • Ground too hard for a hand auger is normal.
  • Spoil cleaned up or carted off.

What's under the fence line

Before an auger goes in the ground we want to know what's already down there. Water and sewer, the power run out to a shed or a pool, irrigation, a gas line to a heater. Post holes go in exactly where nobody expects to find any of it, and an auger doesn't stop for a pipe.

So think back over what's been dug in that yard. If a shed, a pool or a spa has power or water out to it, tell us where it comes from. If you have a plan from when the place was built, send it. And if nobody knows, say that too. It changes how we start, not whether we can do it.

What the job involves

Augered holes for fencing, decking, pergolas and verandah posts.

  • Fence lines set out and drilled hole by hole
  • Deck stumps, pergola and verandah footings
  • Holes through ground too hard for a hand auger
  • Spoil cleaned up or carted off
  • Small runs welcome, not just full fence lines
  • Rock or old concrete flagged before we push on

Questions

The line gets set out first, off your string line or the pegs your fencer has put in, and each hole is drilled on it. Tell us the spacing and depth your fencer or builder wants and that's what gets drilled. If nobody has set them yet, tell us what's going in and we'll work it out.
